The Super Bowl of Cutting

Step One: The Futurity

Every December, the best three-year-old cutting horses in the world converge on Fort Worth, Texas, for the National Cutting Horse Association Futurity—the most prestigious event in the sport.

Unlike almost every other sport, horses entered in the Futurity aren't allowed to compete before this event. Their very first time showing is under the bright lights of the historic Will Rogers Coliseum.

Imagine never playing a football game... until the opening kickoff of the Super Bowl.

Yeah... it's like that.

Each year, more than 750 horses begin the journey, competing for a purse exceeding $2 million. Every horse receives one preliminary run, with approximately the top 60% advancing to the second go-round. Scores from those first two runs are then combined to determine the horses that advance to the Semi-Finals.

Only the Top 20 Open horses—roughly 2–3% of the field—earn a place in Saturday night's Open Finals. It's where careers are launched, legends are made, and dreams that have been generations in the making become reality.

Thor is already entered.

Now imagine sitting in the stands, hearing his name announced, and watching your horse walk into the herd at the biggest event in cutting.

That's the opportunity in front of us.

We can't promise how the story ends—no one can. But we can promise this: we believe Thor deserves the chance to compete on cutting's biggest stage. We aren't offering ownership in just any horse—we're inviting a select group of owners to experience the journey of one we believe is truly exceptional.

And Then the Real Fun Begins...

The NCHA Futurity may be cutting's biggest stage, but it's only the beginning of Thor's story.

Following the Futurity, owners will continue the journey through Thor's entire show career.

Thor will continue his campaign at the remaining two jewels of the NCHA Triple Crown—the Super Stakes in the spring and the Summer Spectacular in the summer—along with a carefully selected schedule of additional aged events throughout the year. While the exact show schedule will be determined by Gildo based on Thor's development, and what's in his best interest, owners can expect to follow him as he competes at many of the sport's premier events.

The Futurity is unique. It's one horse, one moment, and one opportunity. Everything has to come together on the right day.

It doesn’t end there.

This is the beginning of a journey.

A chance to watch a remarkable young horse mature, develop, and compete against the best in the world throughout his performance career.

While no one can predict what the future holds, Gildo believes Thor has the talent to enjoy a long and successful career at the highest levels of the sport. That's why this ownership experience doesn't end after the Futurity—it continues for the duration of Thor's show career, giving owners a front-row seat to every milestone, every challenge, every celebration, and every opportunity along the way.

Because sometimes the best stories don't happen in a single night.

They unfold over an unforgettable career.

Meet Your Team.

Gildo Minichiello | Horse Trainer & GMPH Manager

From Southern Italy to Weatherford, Texas, Gildo Minichiello has built a reputation as one of cutting's most respected young trainers.

In 2024, he became the first European to qualify for the NCHA World Finals. Today, he trains and shows elite cutting horses for clients from around the world and has overseen Thor's development since birth.

Thor has been part of Gildo's program since day one, giving owners a rare opportunity to follow a horse whose journey has been carefully guided from the very beginning.

Courtenay DeHoff | Ownership Experience Manager

Courtenay DeHoff is a professional storyteller, keynote speaker, television host, and lifelong horsewoman with deep roots in the Western industry.

As Thor's Ownership Manager, Courtenay serves as the connection between owners and the journey unfolding behind the scenes, providing updates, exclusive content, event information, and owner communications throughout the experience.

Her goal is simple: make sure owners feel connected to every milestone, every run, and every moment along the way.

Why we’re offering this opportunity.

For years, we've watched incredible people fall in love with the sport of cutting, only to realize there isn't an easy way to become part of it. The reality is that owning, training, and campaigning a horse at this level requires a significant investment, making it out of reach for many people who would otherwise make wonderful owners.

We wanted to change that.

Not by lowering the standard, but by opening the gate.

Instead of one owner experiencing the journey alone, we're creating an opportunity for a select group of people to own, follow, and cheer for an exceptional young horse together. You'll celebrate the victories, experience the highs and lows of competition, receive behind-the-scenes access, and become part of a community that shares the same excitement every time Thor walks into the herd.

This isn't simply about dividing expenses.

It's about multiplying the experience.

Thor isn't just another prospect. We believe he's a special horse with the talent, pedigree, and heart to compete on cutting's biggest stages. Rather than selling him and watching his story unfold from the sidelines, we'd rather invite a handful of people to experience that story with us.

Because the greatest part of owning a great horse isn't owning him.

It's the journey you take together.

FAQs

Why partnership ownership?

Experience the Best Parts of Ownership

Elite cutting horses require a significant commitment—not just in purchase price, but in training, showing, hauling, veterinary care, and all the expenses that come with competing at the highest levels.

Like all equine athletes, horses come with inherent risks. Injuries, setbacks, and surprises are simply part of the journey.

Partnership ownership allows owners to experience the excitement of campaigning and hauling a premier horse while sharing both the investment and the risk alongside a small group of partners.

Enjoy the journey, leave the day to day decisions to the experts.

What Does Ownership Include?

Ownership begins with Thor's NCHA Futurity journey (December 2026) and continues through his show career.

Owners will have the opportunity to follow his development every step of the way through updates, behind-the-scenes access, owner experiences, and participation in any winnings earned during that time.

Who will show and manage Thor?

Thor has been part of Gildo Minichiello's program since birth, and he'll remain under Gildo's guidance.

As an owner, you'll have a front-row seat to the journey—following the training, strategy, and milestones that go into developing an elite cutting horse.

The early mornings, training rides, hauling, entries, and logistics?

We'll take care of those.

You get the fun part.

How Many Ownership Opportunities Are Available?

To maintain a true ownership experience, participation will be limited to just five partners.

This isn't a large syndicate. It's a select ownership team following one exceptional horse through a pivotal stage of his career.

What Happens If Thor Gets Injured Or Faces Setbacks?

Like all equine athletes, horses come with inherent risks. Injuries, illness, and unexpected setbacks are simply part of the sport.

Partnership ownership allows those risks—and the costs associated with hauling an elite horse—to be shared among the ownership group rather than carried by a single owner.

Will I Be Able To Show Thor?

No. Thor will remain under the guidance of Gildo Minichiello and shown by him.

This opportunity is designed to give owners access to the excitement, experiences, and behind-the-scenes journey of campaigning an elite cutting horse while allowing a professional program to manage his development and competition schedule.

What Does It Cost?

Ownership is expected to consist of an initial buy-in of approximately $30,000, plus a pro-rated share of ongoing expenses associated with showing Thor.

While exact expenses will vary, we have carefully reviewed projected show schedules, training, veterinary care, farrier work, hauling, entries, staff, accommodations, and other anticipated costs.

Based on those projections, we currently estimate total expenses of approximately $60,000 for Thor's 4-year-old season, shared proportionally among the ownership group. Projected expenses will be re-evaluated each year.

Detailed ownership information and projected budgets will be provided to interested parties prior to commitment.

Can Owners Earn Money?

Yes.

Any winnings earned by Thor will be distributed among the ownership group.

The opportunity for significant earnings exists, particularly at major events. The NCHA Futurity alone awards more than $2 million in total prize money each year and remains one of the most prestigious and difficult titles to earn in the sport. In many ways, winning the Futurity is cutting's equivalent of winning the Kentucky Derby, the Super Bowl, or an NBA Championship.

The reality is that reaching the top levels of the sport is difficult. Only a small percentage of horses will advance to the Futurity Finals, which is precisely what makes the achievement so meaningful.

The good news? Thor’s story doesn’t end at the futurity….
